Overview
Lytx is a camera installed in the InHome vehicle to improve driver safety. The camera activates and records when specific driving behaviors occur such as, a driver is not wearing a seatbelt. Once triggered, the system captures video footage from 8 seconds before and 4 seconds after the event. This ensures that the full context of what occurred is captured.
Lytx Videos
- Videos are stored securely for 90 days by Lytx.
- After 90 days, clips are archived for 9 months with limited access.
- Serious accident footage is restricted to senior management and handled separately.
- Audio and Video Recordings: The System includes in-cab cameras that continuously monitor and record activity within and around the vehicle, including information such as photographs and audio and video recordings.
Security
- The service providers maintain secure servers that have been screened and vetted by Walmart's ISD department.
- We will maintain a strict limitation on who will have access to video clips and limit that ability to only necessary personnel.
- Only InHome Operations, Store Leadership and designated legal personnel can access video clips.
- The service providers can track and identify the individuals who have downloaded any video clip.
Purpose of Lytx
- Any associate found recording a video clip being played on a computer with a smart phone or other any other device will be issued accountability, up to and including termination.
- Fulfill requests and obligations related to your employment, including supporting, analyzing and improving driver safety.
- Track, maintain and manage our fleet.
- Update our operational and technical functionality, including monitoring and improving vehicle performance.
- Conduct auditing and monitoring of engagement, including investigating actual or suspected wrongdoing and imposing disciplinary measures.
- Fulfill our legal functions or obligations and comply with policies.
- Establish, exercise, and defend our legal rights.
- Protect, verify and maintain the safety, quality, security and integrity of our systems, processes, assets and other property (including our vehicles), and our business.
- Help protect against and prevent fraud and other illegal activity, claims and other liabilities.
- Create and maintain records related to your employment.
